Meet Ned
Born and raised in Stoney Creek, Ned’s story begins with the journey his parents undertook when they immigrated to Canada from the former Yugoslavia in 1967. They arrived with little more than determination and the hope of building a better life.
Their sacrifices, rooted in resilience, gratitude, and hard work, shaped Ned’s upbringing and the values that guide him today. In just one generation, their path led from small villages to the Parliament of Canada, a reality Ned credits entirely to this country’s opportunities and his parents’ unwavering resolve.
“My parents’ journey to Canada stands as a profound reminder of what this country represents: a place where hard work, persistence, and gratitude can transform a family’s future. Their sacrifices instilled in me a deep sense of responsibility—to honour their legacy, to serve my community, and to help ensure that the same opportunities remain available for all who call Canada home.”
From the age of five, Ned has been involved in combative sports, beginning with Goju Ryu Karate and later competing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo. He supported Canada’s national Muay Thai team at the World Amateur Championships and coached athletes at both the amateur and professional levels. His lifelong involvement in sport drives his strong advocacy for consistent, modern athlete-safety standards.
Professionally, Ned built a diverse career across the retail, finance, hospitality, food and beverage, and sport sectors. He founded Champions Management, a combative-sports agency representing athletes, before joining K-1 Global in 2012 as Director of Events and Fighter Acquisitions. He organized major international events and served as Technical Director and Matchmaker, helping ensure fairness and safety in all competitions. He also worked as a licensed mortgage consultant.
Ned first sought public office in 2018 as a candidate for Hamilton City Council, followed by a strong second-place finish in the 2021 federal election in Hamilton East-Stoney Creek . In 2024, he was appointed Chair of Ontario’s Combative Sports Advisory Council, where he helped modernize provincial regulations to strengthen athlete safety and support the responsible growth of sanctioned events.
On April 28, 2025, Ned was elected as the Member of Parliament for Hamilton East–Stoney Creek with 48.72% of the vote — becoming the first Conservative to represent the riding since its creation in 2004. In Parliament, he serves on the Standing Committee on Public Accounts, helping review government audits and ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent responsibly and transparently.

Above all, Ned is a devoted husband and father of three. He and his wife, Lisa, are raising their children in the same Stoney Creek home where he grew up, surrounded by the neighbours and community that shaped his life. The values he was raised with, hard work, perseverance, and doing what’s right, continue to guide him as a father, husband, and Member of Parliament.
“Stoney Creek is my home. I care deeply about the people who live here. Local issues deserve local focus, and that’s where my attention will always be. I’m committed to serving our community with energy, honesty, and hard work—every single day.”
With gratitude, determination, and fresh energy, Ned brings Hamilton East–Stoney Creek’s voice to Ottawa, serving with integrity and a clear vision for the future.
