Citizen of the Year Awards

The Hamilton East–Stoney Creek Citizen of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding resident whose actions have made a meaningful and positive contribution to the community.
The award is intended to recognize individuals who demonstrate a strong commitment to Hamilton East–Stoney Creek through their participation in volunteerism, service to others, and the ability to positively influence or lead within the community.
Eligibility
To be eligible for consideration, a nominee must:

Be a current resident of Hamilton East–Stoney Creek.

Be nominated by another individual or organization.

Have demonstrated a positive contribution to the Hamilton East–Stoney Creek community.

Meet the spirit of the award through conduct that reflects positively on the community.

Be 14 years of age or above.
Every recipient and their loved ones will be invited to have their award formally presented at the Awards Ceremony on the evening of Thursday, November 12 at Winona Vine Estates.
